Thank you for your interest in the World View Classes. As you are aware, the students get the most out of this experience when they participate. That means they must have their reading, writing, and any other assignments completed before they come to class. I urge parents to closely monitor their students work to make sure they are staying on schedule. The student's books are checked in class and notes are written to indicate where they are behind. A record of this is kept in the front or back cover of each student's syllabus. All work must be complete and up to date before the student can advance to the next year's class. Your cooperation in this area will ensure your student's success with this course of study.

Click Here for Application/Registration form. Print the form, Fill it in and return it with your $45.00 application/registration fee, if you would like to secure a seat in next years classes. When your application is received, you will be contacted to set up an interview. Student photos will be tken at the interview. http://www.worldviewclasses.com/public/Registration%20App%2008-09.pdf

Upon completion of this course, the students will be issued a transcript that will reflect 20 credit hours of honors level study. See the Credits link on the web page for a break down of the credits earned. Because of this workload, I caution parents to limit their student’s participation in extra classes. Some extra classes are needed for math and science.

I am receiving a large number of inquiries and registrations for next year’s classes. The seating priority for registration is as follows:

1. Returning Students (Students enrolled in our Starting Points are considered returning students.)
2. Siblings of current or former students
3. Waiting list (those who registered for class the previous year)
4. New Students

I will receive registrations for the first three priorities above through February. New students will be given seats beginning March 1st. Please register your returning students and their siblings as soon as possible. This will enable me to determine how many seats that I have to offer new students.

The Tuition will be $75.00 for August and $155.00 a month, Sept. through May. A second student from the same family enrolled at the same time will be $95.00 a month, $55.00 for August. Starting Points Tuition will be $55.00 for Sept. through May.

World View Classes begin Monday, Aug. 18th, Tuesday, Aug. 19th, Wednesday, Aug. 20th, and Thursday Aug. 21st. Starting Points Classes begin Sept. 3.

You will be responsible for having all materials and books on hand when needed for the class. All of the materials will be available from me so that you will not have to mail order or attend a book fair to get your curriculum. World View Classes does make a percentage of the book sales. By buying your curriculum through WVC, you are contributing to my ability to continue to offer these classes. I appreciate your support. Book order information will be available before the end of February
All classes will be held at:

               McKinney Bible Church
               501 S. Graves St.

3 Year vs 4 Year Program

Year 2 is traditionally the most difficult year in the 3-year program. We cover a huge amount of very important information. Most students have to work very hard to keep up with the material. Some material deserves to be given much more depth than what we have time to cover. Students have little time for other subjects such as Math and Science. After years of feedback, the author has published the curriculum in a manner that allows it to be taught in 4 years, as it should be. This gives us the time to cover all the material in the curriculum at a slower, more in-depth pace while adding material such as American Literature and more history which is missing from the present curriculum. This also allows a more relaxed and realistic pace, allowing the students plenty of time to work on other subjects such as Math and Science.

I realize that a number of families have been planning on the 3 year program and therefore I will continue to offer it for the next couple of years. That is why you have the option to enroll in the 3 year or 4 year program for next year. Monday morning from 8:30 to 11:30 will be a 4-year program class. The remaining time slots for Year 1 classes are Monday, 3:30 to 6:30 pm. and Tuesday, 8:30 to 11:30 am. I need to know your schedule and program preference as soon as possible, so the programs for the remaining two time slots can be determined. If you have any questions about the differences between the two programs please feel free to contact me.
